Dr. Stewart Beazell is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist located in Reston, VA.

Dr. Beazell is committed to providing empathic and evidence-based clinical care. She cultivates a non-judgmental environment and develops a strong therapeutic relationship so you can begin your journey towards a greater sense of well-being and achieve your goals.
Dr. Beazell is a trained generalist, treating a range of issues for adolescents and adult clients, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, identity exploration, and eating disorders. She is LGBTQ+ experienced and friendly. Dr. Beazell uses an integrative approach to psychotherapy that incorporates multiple evidence-based modalities to promote healing, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MB-CT), family systems therapy, and psychodynamic therapeutic techniques.
Dr. Beazell also specializes in the treatment of adolescents. She understands the unique psychosocial stressors that adolescents face and has experience in helping young people navigate through the challenges of teen life. Dr. Beazell has experience with treating adolescent depression, anxiety, and identity exploration as well as relationship concerns. Dr. Beazell has a special interest in eating disorder recovery and body image concerns. She deeply understands the difficulties associated with navigating diet culture while focusing on healing your relationship with food and your body. Dr. Beazell provides Health at Every Size informed individual therapy treatment for adolescents and adults struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, orthorexia, chronic dieting, compulsive exercise, and body image distress. She is committed to helping you on your eating disorder recovery journey to free yourself from diet culture and beliefs that do not serve your overall health and well-being.
Dr. Beazell is trained in the administration and interpretation of psychological assessments. She provides clients with a comprehensive psychological report that can be used in the formulation or maintenance of an IEP or 504 plan, and provide further diagnostic clarification for use in therapy or a psychiatric medication evaluation.
Dr. Beazell received her doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC. She was trained in multiple modalities of psychotherapy, which have allowed her to develop an integrated approach that is tailored to meet your treatment needs.
